I have had a lifetime of experience as an individual with physical challenges. It is my “normal”. I have been working and volunteering in the human services field for about 18 years. Most of my work in the field has been peer support and advocacy related.

How did you get involved in the Independent Living Movement?

I first became involved with the Independent Living movement as a board member for Berkshire CountyUnited Cerebral Palsy in the late 1980s. I then became a board member for AdLib in the early 1990’sIhave now been working at AdLib since January of 2022.

Fun Fact:
  • I enjoy reading, doing crafts, cooking, and volunteering in the community.
  • I am a proud mother of 4 adult boys and have 2 granddaughters.
Something that may surprise you about me:

It is my understanding that I was the first person to be mainstreamed into regular education classes in the Pittsfield Public School system.
