Background:

I have been working with people with disabilities since I was in high school. When I got older, I began working in a nursing home which I enjoyed and led me to private duty with a young individual who was disabled.I have worked at other organizations that help those who are disabled as well. I started as a normal staff and worked my way up the ladder to a house manager after 3 years

How did you get involved in the Independent Living Movement?

I have worked at places that helped those with disabilities, and through these jobs is where really began to enjoy my passion of working and helping individuals with disabilities. I chose to work at AdLib because they offer so many amazing opportunities for the community and I am so excited to now be a part of this amazing company. I go home every day knowing I truly made someone happy today which is the best feeling.

Fun Fact:
  • I love to bake
  • I have 2 amazing children, an 11-year-old son, and 2-year-old daughter
  • I love dolphins, gnomes, and candles
  • I have been with my husband for almost 25 years
Something that may surprise you about me:

I can make any dessert or cake from scratch.
