I received both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Literature (specializing in Rhetoric) from SUNY New Paltz. While working in higher education, I transitioned into nonprofit development and fundraising. Eight years ago, I began sharing the missions of organizations that support people with disabilities with donors and funders across the Northeast.

Background:
How did you get involved in the Independent Living Movement?
Too often, we believe we know what’s best for others, which creates power dynamics that reinforce existing oppressive systems. The Independent Living Movement empowers people to be agents of their own destiny. From participating in advocacy to helping message the vital work we do at Adlib, I’m excited for the opportunity to support the organization.
Fun Fact:
- I have a tattoo of William Shakespeare on my arm.
- My home is decorated for Halloween year-round.
Something that may surprise you about me:
It is rare to spot me without a Sugar Free Red Bull in my hand.
